Cocoro

Cocoro is the heroine of Frontwing’s visual novel COCORO: a girl humanoid, model number CCR-01, left in a ruined botanical garden after the Calamity and still looking after the plants by herself. The official English site is blunt about the contradiction at the center of her. At a glance she is indistinguishable from a human. She is also an early prototype. Strange speech and behavior give her away. She stubbornly insists that she is human anyway.

She always boasts about having a fiancé. She believes he will come when the summer snows bloom — ナツノシラユキ, a rare flower planted in that garden. After she meets (and, from Hinata’s side, reunites with) Mitsumine Hinata, she starts learning about the outside world for the first time. Even as he stands in front of her, she does not realize who he is. That gap is the public premise of the novel, not a late twist this page is going to unpack.

Role in a one-heroine story

COCORO is linear. Steam’s own copy says the plot is centered on one heroine and on how the protagonist’s relationship with her develops. Cocoro is that heroine. Supporting characters such as Ryuzaki Kazane, the Amai siblings, Kizuki Kirika, and Murakumo Kotaro matter because they share Tsukumo with her, not because the game is secretly a route-select romance.

The published synopsis is the right amount of story to know before you press start. A sudden, unexplained global insurgence of AI left the former utopian city of Tsukumo in ruins. As a child, Hinata hid in the botanical garden, met a girl who helped him through trauma, fell in love, and proposed on the day he left. Years later he comes home on summer break, hears rumors of a ghost tending flowers in the abandoned garden, and finds a humanoid who hopes to become human. Her line is the title mood of the whole project: “Please make me human.”

Public materials agree on the same handful of facts. Cocoro is a girl-type humanoid. Her model number is CCR-01. The Calamity wrecked the botanical garden and she was left behind. She kept managing the place alone. Prototype quirks leak through her act. She still claims she is a person. The fiancé boast is constant. The bloom of summer snows is the date she is waiting for.

What those pages do not do is explain the Calamity, her construction, or why recognition fails. This wiki follows that line. You will not find a homemade spec sheet, a secret laboratory chapter, or a guessed ending on this profile. The Characters Hub is the roster; this page is only Cocoro.

Hinata’s credited line on the official site is “How would you like ‘Cocoro’ as a name?” That is as far as the public naming story goes. Treat it as flavor from the character header, not as a puzzle this article is going to solve.

Voice, music, and how she plays on screen

Hina Youmiya voices Cocoro. She is the only heroine voice in a cast that is otherwise supporting, and official promotion also notes that she performs the ending theme in character. The novel is fully voiced except for the male protagonist, so a large share of the five-hour runtime is Youmiya carrying dialogue against an unvoiced Hinata. Japanese is the voiced track; English, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese cover the interface and subtitles.

Akio Watanabe designed her. The screenshots this wiki uses are in-game art, not fan redraws: garden light, summer clothes, a face that reads as human until the prototype shows. If you are choosing a page to show a friend who only knows the title, this is the one. The review is the better place to argue whether the writing and art hold for five hours. The garden, the city, and the people around her

Cocoro’s world, at the start, is the botanical garden. Tsukumo around that garden is a city still living with the Calamity. Kazane helps people who lost homes. Daichi scrapes a living while caring for Kosame. Kirika leads an investigation team that the public has reason to distrust because she is a robotics researcher. Kotaro’s squad exists because robots are not a settled topic in this town. Cocoro tending flowers in a closed garden sits in the middle of all of that without yet knowing the streets.

The official profile says that after she meets Hinata she begins to learn the outside world. That is the summer the novel sells: a boy with nowhere to call home, and a humanoid who dreams of marriage. It is also why a spoiler-light wiki still needs other pages. Kirika’s investigation, Daichi’s grudge, and Kazane’s name change are the city’s unfinished business. Cocoro is the reason you walk into it.

Reading her route without rushing the flowers

COCORO is single-player, save-anytime, and short enough that you do not need a farming guide. VNDB voters put length around five hours; Steam lists a similar playtime. You can finish the garden summer in an evening. That is not a reason to skip saves or to open ending articles first. Use playtime if you are scheduling a Steam Deck session.
